Sarah E. Miller, M.A., RPA

Region Director

Sarah Miller is the Regional Director for the Northeast and East Central Centers of the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN), hosted by Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, a role she has held since 2006. She earned her Master’s degree in Anthropology from East Carolina University in 2001, where she focused on developing archaeology education programs at Tryon Palace in New Bern, North Carolina. Following her graduate work, Ms. Miller led public field and laboratory projects with the Kentucky Archaeological Survey and conducted compliance reviews for the Kentucky Heritage Council. A dedicated public archaeologist and preservation advocate, she is a longtime member of the Society for Historical Archaeology, where she has served as a board member, secretary, and the inaugural chair of the Heritage at Risk Committee. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Historic Preservation at the University of Florida. Her areas of expertise include historical archaeology, cemetery preservation, site stewardship, heritage at risk, public outreach, and historic preservation.
